We've been to Grand Canyon National Park several times, but we had never eaten here before. Of course, you can't beat the view, no matter the weather. I was all set to order the filet mignon off the menu, but then our waiter (Caleb, who provided stellar service) rattled off the specials, which included different sides, and I was instantly sold: BACON-WRAPPED filet mignon with asparagus and mushroom risotto. You can't beat that with a stick! It was prepared precisely to my medium-rare specifications. I also had a Cherry Old Fashion cocktail (bourbon, Bordeaux cherry bitters, orange) that was quite tasty. I'll add photos of both plus the killer chocolate molten cake we shared for dessert. My husband, still full from lunch, only ordered an appetizer (tortilla black bean soup: black beans, hominy, corn, green chili, fire roasted tomatoes, southwest spices, chipotle pepper, tortilla strips) and a beer (prickly pear IPA). No photos of those, sorry. A very tasty meal with great service and a great view!
Sandra provided service with a smile. The entire staff worked together efficiently--cleaning, setting up, serving. Our meals were delicious and our steaks perfectly cooked to order. The side of asparagus was tender and some of the best tasting I've eaten in a long time. And one of the special desserts was a Blueberry Crumb Cheesecake that was heavenly. We savored each bite. We had a window seat and enjoyed people-watching during our meal. There were several larger groups who came in. We really like the new modern look of the restaurant now. It is bright and tastefully appointed.
So glad we tried Arizona Steakhouse, even after reading some negative reviews. We were a party of 2 and were able to be sat at a window table at 8:30 pm after catching sunset. There is a walk up bar and a little lounge area when you walk in the door, but of course you can order a drink at your table as well. We started with tortilla black bean soup and a southwest style Caesar salad, both that included beans and crushed tortillas. I had a delicious prime rib, served with yummy mac & cheese and perfectly cooked asparagus and horseradish on the side. Hubby had a ribeye cooked to his preferred medium temperature. For dessert, we shared the apple crisp which was also yummy but could have had a bigger scoop of ice cream to avoid fighting over it. Overall, very pleased with the food and the service. Total bill with 2 drinks, apps, entrees and a shared dessert was $194 including a 20% tip.
Came here twice this year. I should have read my last review I had the burger which was good, the pulled pork (sauce was overly sweet, but pork was great) with coleslaw (HUGE inedible pieces of cabbage and WAY to much sauce ) Fries were excellent this time and the service and iced tea were amazing. Second time we both had the prime rib sandwich and forgot to get a side of horseradish, so it was a bit bland but better than anything else in the area. Fries good again. Second time here this trip the iced tea was great again and server was amazing. View is still great
I was hesitant seeing the mixed reviews but glad we went. Steaks and prime rib were amazing! Some of the. EST prime rib I've had. Service was great too and very friendly.
I would definitely recommend having dinner here. I had a ribeye steak & pearly margarita. A plus is that you have a view to the Grand Canyon mountains. Service was amazing staff was super nice.
Enjoyed a birthday meal here on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset! We had made reservations in advance and got a window seat for the special occasion which was much appreciated. We enjoyed the view of the mountains and overall atmosphere was pleasant. We enjoyed the shrimp and southwestern Caesar salad, prickly pear margarita, and the ribeye with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Highly recommend!
Great food, views & service. Ordered the filet & friend had prime rib. Absolutely delicious! Our server was Trey, he was great. Definitely recommend this place.
Shrimp Diablo was very tasty with plenty of shrimp, pasta and roasted carrots. The rib-eye steak was unbelievably tender and there was so little fat to be cut off it. I ate the whole 12 ounces of it! The wines are just so-so. Our server was efficient and we realized he had served us here in past years so it was nice to chat with him again. We had a seat by the window; therefore enjoyed people watching.
